Information about hallmarking requirements
Under British law, all items of jewellery made with precious metals over a given weight is required to carry a fully UK Hallmark, stamped by one of its Assay Offices.
Where applicable, Kym Bigwood Designs comply fully with this law - this means our silver jewellery containing 7.78 grams or more of silver will be hallmarked. Our jewellery is hallmarked by the London Assay Office and consists of a minimum of 4 marks ~ my sponsor's mark, fineness marks and the stamp of the London Assay Office. An example of the hallmark for sterling silver is below.

If a piece of jewellery has been hallmarked, this will be stated in the item description.
